Our recently opened Exeter branch were appointed by Wring Group to carry out asbestos removal on behalf of Main Contractor Willmott Dixon.

The 7 week project required our experienced teams to build complex enclosures, erect tower scaffolds and work safely off of fixed scaffolding.

Our teams demonstrated our motto ‘Safety Always’ impeccably throughout the project which was witnessed and praised by the client after conducting multiple Health and Safety audits.

The project involved the safe removal of Asbestos Insulating Board tiles, along with non-licensed materials such as Vinyl Floor Tiles, Gaskets, Flash Guards, Toilet Cisterns, AC Pipework and Panels. The AIB removal consisted of 160m2 of external panels and 140m2 of internal panels.

Gwella thank Wring Group and Willmott Dixon for their cooperation and positive feedback, we look forward to supporting you both with future projects.

Off the back of a few very positive safety inspections and the continued high standard of health and safety procedures and practices we want to issue the wider team a green card as a form of recognition for the continued exceptional service Wring and their asbestos partners, Gwella have provided so far at Exeter College.

The pure volume of licensed asbestos that required removal and locating of unknown licensed material has been handled with the highest level of professionalism. The site team have simply been passengers on the journey and have required virtually no input from us and considering the high risk activities undertaken is a credit to the entire team.

Wring team including Gwella Contract Services (Asbestos Specialists) have shown excellent levels of health and safety standards through very high risk activities. Their standards of work and record keeping have been exceptional and this has been noticed by WD Senior SHE manager along with the Group Safety Inspector and the wider WD operations team. Fantastic supply chain partners to work alongside with.
