Coronavirus – Bio Hazard Cleaning

Our specialist disinfection teams are able to quickly mobilise and effectively undertake clean ups for bio hazard with minimal disruption to your business. We understand the need to be discreet when dealing with delicate circumstances and our teams will work with you enabling the work to be undertaken in line with our customer’s requirements.

We provide a quick response service, restricting access to the affected areas and ensuring all potential areas of contamination are cleaned safely and promptly.

Our teams are experts in protecting themselves from potential biohazards but also protecting others, along with ensuring they limit the risk of cross contamination by following strict processes regarding decontamination procedures.

All operatives wear the appropriate PPE and RPE when undertaking the works and undertake face fitting tests for the required RPE, this may consist of full face respirators or half masks.

Bird droppings contain numerous diseases

Guano

Bird guano and debris is extremely hazardous it is essential that its removal is dealt with appropriately otherwise these particles can become airborne or contaminate water courses.

At Gwella we have highly trained technicians who are fully competent in the removal of bird droppings and the cleaning of contaminated areas.

Bird droppings contain numerous diseases, these can be contained in airborne particles or droplets of moisture which can be breathed in or contaminate skin when disturbed.

Being acidic, bird guano can potentially lead to corrosion of surfaces if not removed in its entirety, leading to expensive replacement works on roofing materials and re-decoration of painted surfaces.

Biological and Drug Paraphernalia Cleans

Undertaking the clean up and removal of drug paraphernalia and other bio-hazard materials poses a serious risk to those undertaking the works, this task should only be undertaken by persons experienced in handling hazardous materials and suitably trained.

Drugs and other associated paraphernalia can be found in a wide range of locations; empty premises, communal areas, parks and sheltered locations are prime for drug abuse.

Our professional operatives specialise in the safe removal and disposal of needles, sharps and other infected items, our experts are fully protected when undertaking such work and comply with current legislation and best practice.

We will ensure areas are left safe and clean preventing the risk from accidental skin laceration posed by drug paraphernalia.
