Boasting 28 sumptuous bedrooms this magnificent Tudor Castle, which once belonging to King Henry VIII, is a perfect blend of exquisite Tudor style and modern day excellence. Nestling in the leafy landscape of South Gloucestershire, it offers a luxurious step back in time from modern life.
As part of the continual maintenance and upgrades lavished on the building Gwella Contracting Services Ltd were appointed to undertake asbestos removal services to facilitate a refurbishment project to the South Range; including upgrading public areas on the Ground Floor and 8 bedrooms on the First.
Gwella were able to supply an asbestos removal team with their own self-contained welfare facilities to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 Social Distancing requirements, for their own safety and the safety of the Hotel’s Staff.
The scope of the works included the removal of asbestos pipe insulation from services in the Ground Floor corridor and asbestos insulation board panels from the area around a heater in the Lounge. Our works were in direct support of the heating upgrade associated with the construction works.
“Gwella Contracting Services provided an incredible service. They operated during the Covid-19 pandemic; they operated over a weekend to make sure that the government guidance on social distancing and security were fully respected. I would like to thank them for the support and professional service.”
